The uterus is a super strong and special organ. Once a month each month it grows a brand new uterine lining and then every month it sheds that lining unless you become pregnant.
Cleansing herbs help to support the body’s natural ability to expell the old build up and lining so that something new can form in place of it.
These herbs are recommended for long cycles with heavy periods that tend to have lots of clotting.
Limit cleansing herbs if your cycle is already very short (less than 28 days).

In some cases a woman should not do vagi-steam
Do not do during your period, if you have a vaginal infection, open wounds, sores, or blisters, do not do if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. If you have genital piercings, take them out, the heat will cause the piercing to burn you.
Note: Do not use essential oils in your vagi-steam bath, this is because they may burn the delicate tissues of the genitals.
*pour 4 cups of water (preferably purified water) into a medium-size pot.
*Place a handful of fresh herbs (about a quarter cup) into the water. Bring water to a soft boil (with the lid on) for five minutes.
*Turn off the heat and steep for another five minutes with the lid on. Pour the contents of liquid into a bowl you've placed in your toilet.
*Wave your hand eight to ten inches over the herbal water to make sure it's not too hot.
*Remove your underwear and sit on the seat above the steaming water.
*Drape a large blanket or sheet around your waist and down to the floor to make sure no steam escapes.
*Keep yourself warm by wearing something on your feet (socks, slippers) and neck.
*You do not want any cold to get into your body while you are trying to warm it.
*You should feel a warm, rolling heat for about ten to 12 minutes.
*When the steam dies down, dump the water into the toilet.
*If it has cooled too much you'll need to reheat it, but test again before sitting over the steam.
This should last for several steams

I was able to get one steam in before my cycle started and I’m so happy I did. This is the first time in a LONG time that my period wasn’t introduced with extremely painful cramping. I’m usually curled up in the fetal position the day or two before & the first 2 days of my cycle and I didn’t experience that at all. I’ll definitely be buying again in the future!
